India tops WhatsApp’s video calling usage with 50 million daily minutes
The guys at Whatsapp announced on Moday that India tops the list of Whatsapp video calling feature usage. The Facebook-owned popular mobile messaging app revealed that purchasers in India spend 50 million minutes on WhatsApp video calls on daily basis while in Globally, the figures stand at 340 million video calling daily.
Further, It was revealed that more than 55 million video calls are made through WhatsApp each day. The feature in question was launched by the company back in November last year. India currently has over 200 million monthly active Whatsapp users.
In November last year, Whatsapp announced the rollout of the video calling feature, enabling more than 1.2 billion monthly active users globally to make video calls across Android, iPhone and Windows devices.
