Lenovo Z5 is now official in China but not with the features you may have expected
Recall that the company earlier dropped series of teaser image revealing that the device would come with mind-blowing features like 4 Terabytes internal storage capacity, 45 days standby power on a single charge, fully bezel-less screen and others but what the company announced today in China shows that the company lied to us.
Unlike our previous expectation, the Lenovo Z5 was to be a flagship device but what the company launched today in China revealed that the device is just another mid-range smartphone with an affordable price.
The Lenovo Z5 sports a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels aspect ratio of 19:9 and yeah, it has a top-notch just like the iPhone X.

Under the hood is octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset and it has eight Kryo 260 cores, clocked at 1.8 GHz, coupled with an Adreno 509 GPU. It has 6GB of RAM and two memory configuration: 64 GB and 128 GB storage.
Camera wise, the Lenovo Z5 comes a dual camera setup on the back that features a primary 16MP camera and a secondary 8MP camera. The company has specially mentioned the ‘AI’ camera features. The front camera is an 8MP unit, and just like the rear camera setup, it too features some AI features.
The Z5 is light up with 3,300 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through a USB-C port. As promised, it has ZUI 4.0, the very same interface that was previously seen in the ZUK smartphones. The device boot Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box but Lenovo VP Chang Cheng promised an update to Android P once the OS is announced.
The phone is offered in Black, Blue, and Aurora that shifts under different lighting. The 6GB + 64GB variant of the Lenovo Z5 costs 1,299 Yuan or $200 (₦73,400) whereas the 6GB + 128GB variant of the phone costs 1,399 Yuan or $280 (₦102,670).
