Google is set to launch the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on October 9
There have been rumours online concern the date for the unveiling of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. To put those rumours to rest, Google has officially chosen October 9 as the day they will reveal the latest smartphones.
Unlike other Google events that were held at Mountain View, California, this particular event will take place in New York City this time, the time is 11 AM Eastern Time. The Google plans to provide a live streaming of the event on their Youtube channel.
With the plenty of leaks available online, we already have an idea of some devices to be launched. One of such will be the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Some of the features of these smartphones will be a deep notch, probably a Qi wireless charging and an all-glass design.
The smartphones will run on the Snapdragon 845 chipset. For the camera, there will be a single rear camera and dual front cameras. The Pixel 3 XL will have a big and tall notch alongside a not-insignificant chin, while the smaller Pixel 3 will boast a more symmetrical design. The Pixel 3 will come with a 5.5-inch screen, with a 2160×1080 resolution and a 2:1 aspect ratio.
Although some rumours have suggested the release of Google’s own smartwatch, the company has said the watch will not be available this year, so we shouldn’t expect to hear about it in the event.
When the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel XL are finally launched, we will post a full review of both devices.
