Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram are down around the world
Those on Instagram were not able to refresh feeds or post new material. Facebook Messenger’s desktop version did not load – but the mobile app appeared to allow the sending of some messages, but users reported glitches with other kinds of content, such as images.
At the moment, Facebook has not released the cause of the interruption to the public but they have acknowledged the problem in a statement available on thier official handle and according to them, they are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
We’re focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack.

The American online social media company, Facebook said the outages were not a result of a Distributed Denial of Service attack, known as DDoS – a type of cyber-attack that involves flooding a target service with extremely high volumes of traffic.
