Huawei launches MediaPad M6 with 8.4″ and 10.8″ display options
Alongside the three Nova 5 smartphone unveiled by Huawei today, they also renewed their range of tablets by announcing the MediaPad M6 in an 8.4 and 10.8-inch variant. These two new devices come with the same high-end specifications but the main difference between the two is their display diagonal, battery capacity and main orientation.
Both tablets are equipped with SoC Kirin 980, 2560×1600 pixel LCD display for both diagonals, 4GB of RAM, 64 and 128GB of internal memory expandable via microSD, the front camera of 8 MegaPixels, main from 13 MegaPixels.
They also both packed 4 stereo speakers made in collaboration with Harman Kardon, 3.5mm headphone jack and operating system based on EMUI 9.1 and Android 9 Pie with Desktop mode support to be exploited with the appropriate keyboard.
Both will be available in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE versions on all configurations (for a total of 4 combinations per diagonal). On the smaller model, there is a 6,100 mAh battery, while on the older brother it goes to 7,500 mAh, both rechargeable via the Type-C connector.
The tablet is made of glass (front) and aluminum (body), while the colors will be two: white-gold and black-gray. In this regard, however, we await further details. It also appears that only the 10.8 “model is equipped with a front fingerprint sensor.
At the moment, there’s no word if the two tabs would be available outside China.
However, the devices are going live in the Chinese market and the first to arrive will be the 10.8 “model, which can be booked today and ready to go on the market on July 10. The prices of the various configurations are:
- Wi-Fi 4GB + 64GB – 2299 yuan ( about 296 euros )
- Wi-Fi 4GB + 128GB – 2699 yuan ( about 347 euros )
- Wi-Fi + 4G 4GB + 64GB – 2699 yuan ( about 347 euros )
- Wi-Fi + 4G 4GB + 128GB – 3499 yuan ( about 450 euros )
For the 8.4 “variant pre-orders is starting July 10, while the distribution will start on July 20. In this case, the configurations are offered at the following prices:
- Wi-Fi 4GB + 64GB – 1999 yuan ( about 257 euros )
- Wi-Fi 4GB + 128GB – 2399 yuan ( about 309 euros )
- Wi-Fi + 4G 4GB + 64GB – 2399 yuan ( about 309 euros )
- Wi-Fi + 4G 4GB + 128GB – 2699 yuan ( about 347 euros )
