Bolt (Taxify) has allegedly been hacked but the company says otherwise

Popular cab-hailing app Bolt, formerly known as Taxify, has been alleged to have been hacked by cybercriminals and the story is currently trending on Twitter.

A number of users using the app has taken to Twitter to share debits alerts they received from Bolt even without activating any trip.

Well, the company, Bolt (formerly Taxify) have given a response to this allegation that they haven’t been hacked nor has customer payment information been compromised via a twitter post.

The company said they have received reports of riders getting multiple debit alerts and they are currently investigating the causes of these debits.

In the meantime, it is advised that you should unlink or remove your card from the app at this moment until they fully rectify the issue. How to remove your card from the app is available below.
